Welcome to today's edition of Hijab Fridays! We're going to be doing a fantastic look that honors one of Malaysia's youngest rising stars-- Mira Filzah! She keeps very busy, and no matter what venture she is working on, it's amazing how she always stays so stylish and fashionable. Today we will be using 2 brooches, 3 pins and our Zehna Chiffon Rectangle Shaw -- the perfect shawl for a look like this. Let's get started!

 

Step 1: Place the shawl with one side shorter

Start off by placing your shawl over you, keeping one side shorter than the other. This will later determine how much coverage you get, so make it as short or as long as you wish. Now, use a brooch to secure both ends below your chin.

Step 2: Take the back and fold it over

Take the back edge and evenly fold it over you towards the front. Use a pin to hold it in place on the top of your head.

Step 3: Straighten the long side

Now straighten the long side out and wrap it up and around your face. You can adjust it so it's comfortable for you. I personally love how this look is made up of voluminous circular layers- it makes it super flattering for round faces! Once you're happy with the placement of the shawl, pin both the inner and outer layers together on the side of your face.

Step 4: Pin the right side over your ear

Now, take the shawl on your right side and pin it up by your ear, below the top layer so it's hidden. Now, If you don't want to hide parts of the shawl inside your clothes like me, you can always just make the short side a little shorter at the beginning so there isn't any extra fabric hanging. Here, you can choose if you want to pin this piece up with a brooch, or it's perfectly fine to leave it for added layers and volume on your chest. And that's it!

Final Style

This look is so elegant and flowing, it's perfect for special occasions. Raya is coming up so this look would be awesome to wear.
